We have tried to generalize the most common questions
about on line giving with answers below.​

Q: What methods can I use to make an online contribution to Mars Hill?
 

A: You can use either your personal bank account, credit card, or debit card. We use PayPal to securely process online giving transactions for us.
Another payment option is online banking available from most banking institutions. Contact your bank to find out more about this option and what financial information you’ll need from the church.

Q: What church funds can I contribute to?
 

A: We currently accept online contributions to our General Fund,  our Prayer Garden Fund, and Memorial Donations. Gifts to the General Fund are used for benevolence, mission and outreach as well as to pay for the all of the ongoing expenditures of Mars Hill that are not otherwise handled through their own special fund designation (e.g.maintenance, utilities, and salaries are all paid for from this fund). Gifts to the Prayer Garden Fund will be used for the completion of the project and continuing maintenance of the Prayer Garden.

 

Q: Can I contribute money to any of the
other missions that Mars Hill supports?
 

A: We currently accept online contributions to our General Fund, the Prayer Garden fund and Memorial donations. If you would like to contribute to one of our supported missions, you can do so by sending us a check, made payable to Mars Hill Presbyterian Church and mailed to the address on our contact page, with the name of the mission to which you are giving clearly designated on the check.

 

Q: Is online giving secure?
 

A: All of your giving data are secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for "Secure Socket Layer", a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the internet. It is the same technology
used by banks and e-commerce companies to keep your
information safe and secure during transactions.
No personal financial data will be kept on the Mars Hill  website.

 

Q: Are there any fees for using PayPal to make a donation?
 

A: PayPal charges a modest 2.2% plus 30¢ per transaction. If you wish to make a $100 donation and the church receive $100, then make the donation $102.56. The entire amount is tax deductible.
